Not only is it Cinco De Mayo....but it's also Jennifer Nelken's 30th BIRTHDAY!!! And boy did we do some celebrating this past weekend!!
Since my group of gals are all either getting closer to our 30's or already there ;)..... we feel the need to put our 20's behind us with a BANG!!! So that obviously entails an entire weekend of celebrating!! Why...because it's a whole new friggin DECADE!! OMG!!
See I have this theory...or rather this hopefullness about my 30's....cause i am inching my way closer and closer......
I feel that you (or at least myself) spend the majority of your 20's sort of discovering who you are, taking risks, and really just trying to find your own path in the world ... blah...blah...blah..right!
But your 30's can finally be, as Jennifer Nelken put it, To Just Be..... So that is our motto this decade. Lets rid ourselves of the guilt of things that have yet to be accomplished or dreams that have not been reached....and just throw it to the gods and let yourself BE!
Ok enough of my wisdom but i'm really hoping this theory pulls through! HA!!
I guess here we were all caught up in the moment.....I know it's amazing..sometimes we do just listen....
We surprised Jennifer at her house when she got off work Saturday and celebrated, then we went to brunch the next day and continued celebrating!! Ayiyiyiyiyiyi!!!
