So the place we ended up staying after seeing the ruins was actually in the national park of Tikal!! We saw all sorts of animals and heard all sorts of noises....ooohhh and it rained all night!!!! Love the sound of that when you're in the jungle!

We woke up early the next morning (had to all rush to take hot showers within the time frame) and headed to our bus to take us to Flores, Guatemala...Precious lil town...we had breakfast walked around a bit and then flew into Guatemala City and caught a taxi to Antigua!!! ayiyiyi!!

So we made it to Antigua and it is prob by far my favorite town....In the background of Central Park is a Volcano that we are climbing today (friday, march 26th) Its an active volcano and we are going to roast marshmallows! HA!

Antigua used to be the capital of Guatemala until it was damaged by an earthquake and moved to Guatemala City
